Following a rigorous pore cleaning regime that I have mentioned in my post yesterday, I will need a pore tightening skincare regime to follow.
One of the items that I have acquired recently from my beauty package is the Laneige Pore Tightening Essence:
At 35ml/1.2 fl. oz., this essence retails for $280hkd (roughly $35usd). The essence is a semi-thick, milky fluid with a very mild flowery scent (it's pleasant):
When spreading the essence apart:
This essence is absorbed into my skin quickly. I like the texture of it and the slight floral scent doesn't bother me. As the directions has instructed, only a pea-sized essence is needed for the entire face. A little goes a long way.
I have been using this essence for a few days now. Along with the blackhead exfoliating serum that I have been using, I do see significant decrease in pore size and clearing of my pores. I will be back again next week with an update on how these products are working for me.
Next on the menu, I have acquired the H2O+ waterwhite lite pore minimizing brightening gel when I saw it on the shelves at my local TJ Maxx for $12.99 plus tax.
At 38ml/1.3 fl. oz., for $13, it seems like a good deal, right? This gel is a colorless semi-thick fluid:
Spreading this gel on my hands, it dries up instantly:
Instantly I can sense a cooling sensation and some smell of alcohol.... emm, I refer back to the list of ingredients at the back of the bottle... TA-DA! Written on it is ALCOHOL!
As advised by the blackhead exfoliating serum, skincare products with alcohol should be avoided when used in conjunction... so sadly, I will be returning this H2O+ waterwhite product. Luckily, I have my Laneige pore tightening essence that is working well for me!
