L'Oreal Youth Code Day Lotion SPF 30

Another skincare item that I have been looking around for is a lightweight day lotion with SPF in preparation for the upcoming summer months.

A week ago, I heard from my gaming neighbor on City Story that she recently got the new L'Oreal Youth Code day lotion and she said that her skin felt so smooth since she started using it, thus recommending me to try. I believe that she paid $49 Singaporean Dollars for this. After doing some coupon research, I got mine from drugstore.com for roughly $12usd inclusive of shipping. This is usually $25.99usd in CVS.

So it seems I got a deal, heehee!

According to their brochure, it says:
"After 10 years of research, L'Oreal scientists unlock the code of skin's youth by discovering a specific set of genes that are responsible for skin's natural power of regeneration. PROTECT SPF Day Lotion: Lightweight, non-greasy lotion provides instant smoothness and protects skin with broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 30."

It claims to have the following results:
1. Diminishes signs of stress and fatigue
2. Reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles
3. Smoothes and evens skin's surface
4. Boosts skin's radiance and luminosity
5. Delivers instant hydration

I am definitely interested in getting all of the properties claimed in the above^^ And if my friend said it works for her in a hot and humid climate like Singapore, it should work for me!

So what do I think? Texture is interestingly thicker than Olay Regenerist micro-sculpting cream that I am using at night. Strange?

However, it's easy to spread the lotion out and it's definitely non greasy!

I have tried it a few times under my makeup over the past weekend. My skin feels smooth and hydrated as it states, and I think this lotion keeps my face hydrated enough that I don't really have much facial oil in my t-zone towards the end of the day. So far so good. But I will need to use it during the hottest and the most humid time of the year which will be coming up in 2 or 3 months:)

Oh sugar, this is an affordable day lotion to try out for the summer. Where are you located? Can you probably order online?

So far so good, but it also have to do to the fact that the weather is still on the chilly side here... I think it will take another 2-3 weeks before the weather here really warms up and the product will be tested to the fullest..

But at this moment, this is a good lotion under foundation and I haven't experience any oily t zones at all.

I am jealous of your nakuro haul. Shipping cost is a turn off for me, but I think once I am done with the olay and loreal, I may consider getting their eye jelly and face jelly and day lotion (Jenny said the lotion works really well on her combination skin!)

Hi Vivian-
Basically a week ago, drugstore.com has a special going on, which is free shipping for orders over $25, with $10 off when you sign up.

On their website, this item is $21.99, and I bought another multi-vitamin for $5.97, so totally to be $27.96 for free shipping.

Then minus the $10 off, the grand total for 2 items is $17.96. The cost of the day cream itself is $12 in the end :)

But actually you can try that in CVS too, my local CVS has a $5 off their Loreal product, a 10% off if you sign up for beauty insider program, and a $10 mail in rebate (but i think this has been expired already)...
