Vidi Vici Eyeshadow Shimmer Cream Texture 02 Glam Bisque and Pearly Texture 223 Dark Chocolate

Quite sometime ago,  I have ordered Vidi Vici directly from Korea (link here) because I have seen Beauty QQ raved about it on her youtube channel.

I have lemmings over the lunchbox duo case after seeing it on Beauty QQ's video, thinking it is so sleek and compact, so I have ordered the shimmer cream texture eyeshadow in 02 Glam Bisque and pearly texture eyeshadow in 223 Dark Chocolate.

However 02 Glam Bisque was back ordered. Initially I was told that it will take a few weeks for me to receive it, but weeks turned into months. It was not until recently that Vidi Vici Korea has informed me that they have received the shipment from their Japanese manufacturer (yay, after so many months!!)

So viola, here it is!

Vidi Vici's single eyeshadow came in as a refill like packaging inside a clear plastic resealable bag and a plastic case (similar to that of the older Shu Uemura's single eyeshadow packaging)

02 Glam Bisque is Made in Japan while 223 Dark Chocolate is Made in Korea. Interesting that in the same line of eyeshadow from the same brand, they are made in different countries.

packaging for shimmer cream texture eyeshadow in 02 Glam Bisque

Eye Shadow Shimmer Cream Texture 2g
Gives your eyes a chic and luxurious look through the infusion of fine shimmer and sparkle.
Has a creamy texture even though it's a powder.
Its soft-blended formula goes onto your skin softly, leaving it looking velvety smooth.
02 Glam Bisque is a lovely champagne based shimmery color that is perfect for the center of the eyelids for a pop of glitter and 3D look on the eyes. The silver and champagne glitter is extremely fine and there isn't any fall out (unlike other eyeshadows I own where the glitter will fall everywhere!

packaging for pearly texture eyeshadow in 223 dark chocolate

Eye Shadow Pearly Texture 2.5g
Provides a tonal effect from color that is barely there to color with intense, bright drama.
Provides even color distribution and is easy to blend.
Offered in a multitude of stunning colors and shades.
223 Dark Chocolate is a color just like its name. It has minimal pink and bronze glitters (very subtle) that is hardly noticeable, and the chocolate color is a warm kind of brown that is very pigmented, and the color you saw on my hand is only 1 swatch.

Take a look at the single eyeshadows in their pans!

Image taken at a different angle to show the micro-fine shimmers:

The base of the luncbox duo has a small magnet to snap the back of the metal pan of the single eyeshadows so they stay nice and tight there, without the use of any glue or such (the glue that some singles came with can be quite messy to deal with!!!):

back of the pan has a circle to indicate where it snaps with the case

the circle in the center of the empty case is the magnet that hold it together
both pans are securely held down by the magnet, no wiggling movement!

It’s a heavy weight(hefty!!) and solid palette. I highly recommend it if you ever get the chance to own one, it feels more substantial than the Dior Blue Tie palette.

You also get a little mirror under each lid! It's a rather brilliant design because each compartment is separate (with its own lid and mirror) which means if you did choose to mix cream with powder products, they would be completely separated so there is no issue with the mixing of products!

There is even a compartment for putting is eyeshadow applicators (or Q-tip/toothpick as Beauty QQ suggested in her videos):

The only downside is with a 4 pan, its weighty and quite big. If I really wanted to carry it around, I would, but it’s not as lightweight as a regular palette to carry around. Shiny palettes is almost like a mirror in itself, though, remember, always get grease/fingerprint marks on them easily.
A single swipe on my fingers. These eyeshadows are one of the higher quality eyeshadows I have ever experienced (basically I cannot find a word to describe this heavenly feeling), finely milled and creamy (hence their name shimmer cream texture!) There is no chalkiness and no fall out whatsoever!

It does look chalky in the picture but when applying to my skin, texture is like whipped cream and feels very luxurious to touch. Absolutely no fall out. It's a different kind of luxurious feeling to touch it, compared to SUQQU, both are very very high quality eyeshadow products!

Swatches at the back of my hand, very pigmented and the shimmers are very fine and pretty.

Overall, I am very happy with my Vidi Vici experience. I will definitely pick up more colors as these 2 colors totally wowed me. I am looking into getting 3 of their other eyeshadow series in classic texture, sparkly texture, and jewel texture...  but since it’s not cheap (I think the eyeshadows are $30USD each) it won’t be for a while!

What do you think of these shadows?

Latest hauls^^ [3] Vidi Vici-3

Haul #3 from Vidi Vici Korea (ebay):

Since I have hauled a lot from Vidi Vici HK, I didn't have much urge to haul more. But I have been interested in their lunchbox duo (double case for their single eyeshadows) after seeing its appearances in one of BeautyQQ's videos. After a round of asking around, it seems like Vidi Vici has stopped producing this lunchbox duo case!! Finally I stumbled upon Vidi Vici Korea and they informed me that they only have 2-3 of this duo case left!

So I placed my order and it arrived in a Vidi Vici logo box!

With proper packaging! Tons of bubble wrap!

My loots:

I have ordered these 2 eyeshadows. It's quite hard to figure what color to order because there isn't much online swatches for Vidi Vici's eyeshadows.

Eye Shadow Pearly Texture 2.5g in 223 Dark Chocolate.
Provides a tonal effect from color that is barely there to color with intense, bright drama.
Provides even color distribution and is easy to blend.
Offered in a multitude of stunning colors and shades.

Eye Shadow Shimmer Cream Texture 2g in 02 Glam Bisque
Gives your eyes a chic and luxurious look through the infusion of fine shimmer and sparkle.
Has a creamy texture even though it's a powder.
Its soft-blended formula goes onto your skin softly, leaving it looking velvety smooth.

Unfortunately, until today 02 Glam Bisque is still back ordered. Vidi Vici contacted me that it will take a few more weeks for it to complete manufacturing in Japan. I will share again when I receive it in the mail.

Now on to the adorable lunchbox duo case!

This case is made of metal so it feels very substantial and expensive. But sadly it is also a fingerprint magnetic. It also comes with a small velvety pouch.... making it feels glam and expensive too!

The front side of it allows you to put 2 single eyeshadows (or browshadow, or lip gloss.... mix and match as you like, as the back of the lunch box duo has instructed....)

And it each lid has its own mirror in it.

And on the back side, you can insert q-tips, small sponge applicators, or even pills as BeautyQQ has suggested, quite versatile! And it also has a mirror on the lid for quick checks on your makeup on the go!

The next item I am interested in trying is their foundation. I have tried the sample foundation that came with Haul #1 and I like how lightweight and long lasting their foundation is. I was also informed that they are launching a new Brilliant BB cream of SPF 35++ in February from Vidi Vici Korea. Latest hauls^^ [3] Vidi Vici-2

Haul #2 from Vidi Vici HK:

The Dancing Butterfly palette. This was 2011S/S limited edition palette. Initially I wanted to get the 2010A/W Beloved palette because I saw how nice the colors were from BeautyQQ's videos. But they were all sold out by now and the DancingButterfly palette is a good similar dupe to the colors.

The bronze color metallic casing is very similar to Lunasol's signature eyeshadow quads. It even has the production date printed at the back of the palette:

The eyeshadow quad comes in:
Top-left: shimmery/glittery yellowish gold
Top-right: a cool toned matte pastel pink
Bottom-left: pearly salmon pink
Bottom-right: shimmery deep bronze

Under sunlight

Under shade

Vidi Vici's eyeshadow is surprisingly smooth and is well pigmented. Very similar to SUQQU high quality eyeshadows! Just with one swipe on my fingers, this is what I get:

Swatches at the back of my hand:

Under sunlight
Under shade

The colors have good pigment, but just doesn't show well on my NC-25 skin tone.... ahhh only if I have paler skin! But unlike Lunasol, Vidi Vici's eyeshadows are not really glitterbombs and I think they are very work appropriate for those who look for almost matte with a subtle shimmer daytime look.

Latest hauls^^ [3] Vidi Vici-1

I have been getting interested in Vidi Vici because of the famous youtuber BeautyQQ (Queenie Chan).

So over the past 3 months, I have been hauling Vidi Vici from Hong Kong and Korea.

Vidi Vici is a upscale Korean makeup brand and used to be exclusively sold in Korea. And they ahve a few counters in high end department stores in Hong Kong.

Lately Vidi Vici Korea has launched their sales on ebay so you can get their products directly from them. And they provide free shipping worldwide! (Vidi Vici HK also provide free world-wide shipping too and accept paypal as form of payment, and they seem to provide better response in English!)

So, Haul #1 from Vidi Vici HK:

Initially I was interested in getting the Party Styler '11 set from them that comes with the limited edition Party Styler, the Angel Soft loose powder, 2 deluxe sample(I picked 2 foundation shades they offer) and an original pouch:

Anyways... as I have been always curious about Vidi Vici, I ordered more than I should have... and here's the package from Hong Kong:

Everything is nicely packaged inside the official Vidi Vici box, and of course, with the original pouch that came with the set!

Nicely embossed Vidi Vici box. I now keep all of my Vidi Vici items in it.

They also sent me a catalogue along with my order. It's much easier to read through this catalogue as their online version's resolution is really low...

Their signature small case and party styler stacker. I guess packaging does play a great part in influencing what I want to buy??? Haha!

My loots:

Party Styler '11. Comes with 2 eyeshadows, 1 highlighter (cream form), 1 cream blush, and 1 lipgloss. I have yet to use it. It's too pretty to be used!

Angel Soft Loose Powder. I suppose this will go on perfect with their lightweight anti-aging foundation?

Looking glam? This is their signature stacker Small Face Case. Apparently they do not carry this anymore, the current version only comes with a lighter face contour powder. I feel this older version is more appealing as I can use the darker contour powder as eyeliner or brow powder.... it's more versatile this way!

Made in Italy! What a nice surprise!

I also get a lipstain. I have used it and I like it a lot because it is non-drying. And fyi this is made in Germany!

Stayed tuned for my Vidi Vici Haul #2!!!
