Latest hauls^^ [4] Jill Stuart Jelly Eye color N 17 murmuring river and 18 bird flutter

Before I start on this post, Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!

I have been getting my Jill Stuart and other Japanese brands from my usual sources these days. Recently in my mail is my Jill Stuart 2012 spring collection haulage!

I am always happy to see big packages in my mailroom!

Hint of pink.... well packaged in bubble wraps!

My hauls included limited edition nail polishes and eye jellies from Jill Stuart Spring 2012 collection. The Maquillage Mascara Combing Remover is a gift from the seller. I will try it when I need to travel around later. I wonder how does this compare the the Kiss Me mascara remover? Seems like a good alternative to eyemakeup removers!

My loots of JS Jelly Eye Color N in 17 murmuring river (right) and 18 bird flutter (left):

17 murmuring river is a nice champagne/silvery based shimmer that will can be used as a extremely sparkly sparkly base or a shimmer highlight at the enter of the eyes. I tried it once with a smokey eye look and my hubby was like, what did you do to your eyes? They look so sparkly!

17 murmuring river in its pot:

Swatches at the back of my hand, under sun, it looks more sparkly in person:

Swatches under shade, you can see the glitters better here:

Murmuring river on my finger tips, you can see the champagne hue here:

For 18 bird flutter, it is a peach/coral tone jelly with not as much fine shimmers as murmuring river. It looks pretty pigmented in the pot and I am afraid this color maybe quite hard to pull off because I may risk myself looking being punched in the eye:

It actually went on quite sheer.... in the picture below you can see bird flutter (top) and murmuring river (bottom). Since murmuring is more shimmery, the camera was able to pick it up better.

Moving on to nail polishes. I was inspired by Miss Elain-nio because she told me that Jill Stuart nail polishes have a distinctive sweet scent that will linger even 2 days after you finish applying the polishes. Since I spotted them at a decent price (compare to ebay!) I picked them up as well.

I got the 2 new spring colors (limited edition, 10ml each) in 53 flower shower and 43 milky freesia. Flower shower is a coral tone nudy peach color with little shimmers while milky freesia is more of a pale lilac with minimal shimmers. As with most JS nail polishes they go on quite sheer, and I would mind that as they will be goo gradation nail bases.

And from their 2011 Fall collection, I got their Petite Nail Collection that comes with 3 bottles of 6ml of 114 red current, 115 bird song, and 116 deep fur. It also comes with a sheet of nail art stickers.

Nail art sticker, too pretty to be used!

Full line up, from left to right: 53 flower shower, 43 milky freesia.114 red current, 115 bird song, and 116 deep fur.

A quite note here. OPI, Essie or Zoya nail polishes are typically 15ml each, so with JS's 10ml or 6ml sizes they contain considerably less than the brands here.... but on the other hand, who can normally use up a full 15ml during the life span of a nail polish before it dries up? And plus, we never get such cute packaging for nail polishes here in the US....

Comparison of the top gems, the LE version has a pink gem:

And size comparision between the 10ml (left) and 6ml (right):

Swatches of these gorgeous nail polishes will be done later when I free up and have time to paint my nails...

and my collection of JS jelly eye color N will follow shortly...

Jill Stuart Holiday 2011 Fairy Garden Collection

As mentioned yesterday, A Touch of Blusher has a detailed review of this collection preview here.

This Jill Stuart Holiday 2011 Fairy Garden Fairy Collection is set to launch on November 4th in Japan. I got mine yesterday in the mail, 10 days before the launch day, right perfect before my birthday! I felt it like it a birthday present to myself!

"Christmas fairies invite you to happy moments."
How poetic! And inside the box is the original pouch, in a soft pink color:

Details of this pouch, definitely a princess feel to it and it reminded me of bridal evening gown details (that I have once looked into prior my banquet):

Details of the zipper, which is the same style to the "J" signature ornament/charm on the JS limited blush brushes.

Set according to official picture (credits to Chenyu's blog):

My coffret set:

The limited-edition Fairy Garden Collection set includes:
- Jewel Crystal Eyes
- Jelly Lip Gloss
- Loose Powder N
- Fragrance Sachet Duo Set
- original pouch
The fragrance sachets appears to be more of a peach and purple color in reality, but it doesn't really bother much to me, as I am not planning to open it and use this set anyways :) It will be my first collectible holiday coffret set :)

Borrowed from chenyu's blog, which is closer to the real colors of the sachet:

I admit the main reason I am into this coffret is because of the flowery prints on the casing of the eyeshadow. It reminds me of flying cherry blossoms, one of my favorite thing in the world:

Eyeshadow jewel crystal eyes 104 fragile opal and jelly lip gloss in 103 crystal kiss:

Eyeshadow colors from www.iswii.net

Actual colors of the eyeshadow:

At the first glance, I thought it really resembles something I got from the Jill Stuart jewel crystal eyes range, here I am comparing with limited edition 101 smoky quartz here:

More comparisons, from left to right, 104 fragile opal, 101 smoky quartz, 07 sweet amethyst, and 06 angelic topaz:

Don't you think the lighter pinks and deeper cool browns all look alike?

Next up, it's the Jill Stuart loose powder N in 101 twinkle dust:

Loose powder N picture from chenyu's blog:

It comes with a matching elastic band with tulle, but I don't really see myself using it anyways....

Finally, it's the jelly lip gloss in 103 crystal kiss:

Details of a bling on the tube's cap:

Image from Chenyu's blog:

Again, with the cherry blossom like flower petals that capture my heart on the tube. And the shimmery pink color looks lovely as well. I also know that JS lip glosses are quite sheer and they are tad on the sticky side, but it doesn't bug me much as I don't intend to use this set anyways and they are just too pretty to be used anyways!!!

Latest beauty haul, featuring Jill Stuart Holiday 2011 Fairy Garden Collection Teaser!

Guess what show up in the mail today?

A package of items I ordered from Hong Kong last week! Shipping is rather quick for this round! In exactly 1 week I received the items I ordered!

Woot! Ready for the surprise? Can you guess what is behind the bubble wrap?

Voila! Jill Stuart Holiday 2011 Fairy Garden Collection, as feature by A Touch of Blusher here.

It is supposed to be released on November 4th in Japan, but I ordered mine on October 17th and received today on October 24th, 10 days earlier than the official launch date!!

Contents:

A little more items I ordered along with this same shipment, which includes the Jill Stuart lip compact and discontinued highlighter from last X'mas coffret set.

I admit that I am becoming like a Jill Stuart collector as a lot of times I find their items too pretty to be used.... The highlighter and the lip compact is definitely is going to be housed in the museum of fishball's collection.

And sole reason why I decided to haul this X'mas set is because the flowery pattern that resembles cherry blossom petals... how superficial I am...

Stay tuned for more reviews coming up!!!

FOTD, Featuring Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Color N 10 Vintage Decor and Lunasol Water Gel Foundation

My first Jill Stuart Jelly Eye N was in the color 104 Satin Lingerie, which has been reviewed here.

Since then I really like the texture and the lasting properties of this Jelly Eye because unlike other cream shadows which will crease on me, this doesn't. I am extremely jealous of Miss Elain-nio's Jelly Eye project as she managed to find other beauty pals that would like to split different colors with her so she can sample more colors in one go (since these jellies tend to dry out over time)...

I am not really the kind that like to waste things so after considering what colors I would like to use the most, I picked up this Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Color N in 10 Vintage Decor.

Cute little packaging:

Typical of Jill Stuart's make up items, they all look very royal and princessy. There is a light different on the rim of the cap with my other LE one, which has some black lacey prints over it:

Swatches. A swipe of jelly at the back of my hand:

Fully blended out:

Under sunlight, you can see the sparkly shimmers:

I have used the following items for my look this time:

Face
Shu Uemura BB Mousse in Medium Beige (limited edition)
Lunasol Water Gel Foundation in OC-4
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Medium
MAC Surf, Baby! My Paradise blusher (limited edition)
My favorite makeu tools: Beauty Blender in Mizuho Face Blush <3

Eyes
Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Color N in 104 Satin Lingerie
Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Color N in 10 Vintage Decor

Majolica Majorca mascara

Lips

EOTD in natural daylight:

Under candescent lightbulb, the shimmers are more noticeable:

And under florescent light, my FOTD look:

Fresh application

8 hours later...

As you can see there is no smudging or fall out at all for the Jill Stuart Jelly Eye color N. I am impressed. For the Lunasol Water Gel Foundation, there is indeed significant of oiling out on my T-zone areas, but that's 8 hours later, and at the height of the summer, so after a hot day outdoors without any blotting or NO touch ups, I look like this when I got home and is about the cleanse my face and shower. I tried other foundations before and there are worse greasing foundation than this, so I am happy. Only I wish I didn't get the wrong shade as this foundation oxidizes a bit on me and I look a tad darker towards the end of the day....
