Ettusais Nighttime Defense

Ettusais is a sub-brand from Shiseido. I recently saw this from another Hong Kong beauty blog, and it's always nice to be on the defense for potential break outs. 

Actually the main reason why I got this is to pair it up with Naruko's night jelly. I don't really like the sticky feeling of night jelly and I prefer to set it with this powder so much of the facial product stays on my face but not the pillow!

The powder of this product is white, but appears translucent on skin:

The powders is very fine, and it's comparable to the moisture powder that came with Laneige's Water Sleeping Mask. 

I am still getting break outs once in a while so I am doubtful if this formula does stop me from getting break out. Does this product work? I think so! My jawline break out problem that has been killing me the past few weeks has died down by A LOT. And I do like the setting function of this fine powder on Naruko's night jellies. I think I should look around more for similar products but with a more affordable price tag...

DHC Mild Touch Cleansing Oil

My usual Shu Uemura green tea cleansing oil is almost out and I have been looking around for a less expensive option but good quality cleansing oil as replacement.

I have used DHC deep cleansing oil which is their best seller (the one in yellow oil) before. They did a decent job removing makeup, but to be honest I am not a big fan of their rubbery scent. After I read about Muse's blog on DHC mild cleansing oil, this has been at the back of my mind for a potential replacement candidate.

I find this pink lacey design very cute, and as Muse said, it's a departure from the usual US version of DHC products.... now we have cute package available to us!

And this packaging looks very familiar... does it ring a bell to anyone??

NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner

Last night I was stopping by Sephora and I wanted to do a swatch for my Singaporean beauty pals that doesn't have NARS in their island :(

This time I am swatching the new NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear pencil liners:

A closer look at the 9 colors available:

My personal favorites are Abbey Road (iridescent turquoise), Rue De Rivoli (metallic forest green) and Via Appia (copper brown). I will be hauling them at the Sephora F&F sale in Nov!!

2 colors that I didn't like is Madison Avenue (slate grey) and Rue Bonaparte (light almond). I thought Rue Bonaparte is a like an off white/cream white, but to me it looks like a concealer color.... yuck!
